Thanks to Marcelo Cabral de Mello for the heads-up on this intriguing disc.  As he says in a recent email:

"It would be great if you mentioned this recording on your website as well, as it's one of the best recordings of Choros 6. Just to mention, a percussionist called Luiz D'Anunciação - AKA Pinduca, who's nearly 90 now and performed with Villa-Lobos, also plays percussion in the orchestra. He has published a book about Brazilian instruments in Villa-Lobos' works - how to make and play them."

The book is Os instrumentos típicos brasileiros na Obra de Villa-Lobos, published in 2006.
