Tribute to Aldo Parisot with the Yale CellosDate: 04/21/2009 - 00:00 Location: USA: New York NY Work Performed: Bachianas Brasileiras #1 Bachianas Brasileiras #5 On April 21 at Zankel Hall, Yale in New York concludes the 2008-2009 season with a tribute to Parisot. The concert will showcase the internationally renowned Yale Cellos, whose 20 or so members belong to the very select group of young artists from around the world invited by Aldo Parisot to study with him at Yale. The program will feature music by Heitor Villa-Lobos, a close friend of Parisot's, including Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasilieras No. 5, with soprano Hyunah Yu, and No. 1, as well as works by Rouse, Laderman, Popper, and Brubeck.
